Cookie policy

What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them only where they are needed for the site to work — we don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

What we use

  • Session cookies — set when you sign in, so we can remember you between requests. Cleared when your session ends.
  • CSRF / security tokens — short-lived cookies set by NextAuth to protect sign-in flows.
  • Preferences — remember things like the theme, test length, and word list you last used. Stored in your browser only.
  • Stripe — when you visit the checkout or customer portal, Stripe sets its own cookies for fraud prevention. See Stripe’s cookie policy for details.

No analytics or ad cookies

We don’t use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking session cookies will stop you from being able to sign in. For more on what data we keep server-side, see our privacy policy.
